Food
All menu items are cooked using fresh seasonal Scottish or local produce wherever possible.
During the season a traditional Pub menu is available from 6 to 8.30 pm and lunches are also available from 12 to 2pm every day except Tuesday when the pub is closed.
Outside of the season we run different hours for food, for example, from October through to February food is only served on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, but lunchtime is extended by an hour and runs from 1pm to 3pm. However, we are always willing to accommodate special occasions and parties Wednesday through to Sunday provided we have a few days’ notice. Please call us to discuss your requirements.
Food is served in the bar area or - for a more intimate dining experience - in our 12 seater Snug. We can also cater for larger parties (up to 16) by prior arrangement in a private function room.
We have a separate Children's menu. Vegetarian dishes are always available. Please note that our menu changes from time to time to avail ourselves of what is in season.

We also run special events menus, which offer opportunities to try something a little extra special. Further details below. It is worth booking for the Sunday roast and special menus where possible to avoid disappointment.
Friday Nite is Curry Nite!
Currently we are also running special “Curry Nites” on Fridays and Saturdays alongside our normal menu and this is proving to be very popular. Delicious Indian curry to eat in or take away. (Except for Game Taster weekends listed below)

Game Taster Weekends
Not sure whether you like Game? Come along and find out! There will be a special “Game Taster” Menu running every last Friday & Saturday of the month from October to February inclusive, giving you the opportunity to sample the delights of Scotland’s finest and freshest game ingredients in a Tapas style.
For those who are Game lovers already, we hope to surprise and delight you! Please book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Sunday Roast
We run a Sunday Roast set menu from 2pm to 6pm from September to March. Our Sunday roast set menu of 2 courses with the option of dessert will run from September 11th through to April 2012.

Pre & Christmas Menu & Party Menu
This year we are running a four course pre-Christmas menu from 12th December to 23rd December inclusive. All parties will be welcomed and pre-orders will be taken. Christmas parties can be held for groups of up to 16. We are also offering special room rates for Christmas parties. Please ring the hotel to enquire. Christmas Day Late Lunch – 1 sitting at 3pm. Birthdays and other Special Occasions
Anyone wishing to book a meal for a special occasion, we can cater for up to 16 as a private party on a Wednesday through to Sunday provided we have a few days’ notice.
